Currently, we have four Membership grades which are:
- Membership Grade
- Associate Membership Grade
- Affiliate Grade
- Student Membership
Member Grade
Established engineers, scientists, and other professionals that have a qualified college or University degree in Engineering and a minimum of five years of professional technical experience or have the required equivalent years of technical education and professional technical experience or have distinguished services and noteworthy accomplishments.
Associate Member Grade
Professionals possessing the basic qualifications for election to Member grade, but who have not yet attained the experience and level of responsibility to qualify for the grade of Member.
Affiliate Grade
Anyone whose affiliation supports the objectives of SAE but does not meet the requirements for Member or Associate Member grade.
Student Membership
Individuals who at the time of application, are full-time college students pursuing studies leading to any associate, bachelor, masters, or doctoral degree.
